Shop built stairs offer Treads and risers encased in precision routed laminated stringers instead of nailed to rough stringers. No need for additional skirt boards. This method eliminates gaps from seasonal wood movement & nail holes.

Squeaky stairs result from the tread moving up & down against a nail. No nails are used in the construction process. Treads, risers, and stringers are glued and screwed together as one unit, with no fasteners exposed. All treads are secured with driven wedges from below insuring a tight gap-less fit and no squeaks.

The major benefit of this system of construction is that it ties the whole set of stairs together creating an I-beam type of support. All of our stringers are custom made in-house. Since we do our own vacuum veneering a wide range of wood choices are available to the customer.
